We are a Christian church based on the worship of God and the preaching of the message of God’s son Jesus Christ. We belong to the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand, which was founded in this country by Scottish settlers in the 1840s.
We have 210 members and an active congregation of about 130, including 40 youth and children and young people.
Visitors and newcomers are warmly invited to our main church service, which takes place at 10am each Sunday morning, with KidzSong (Preschool music and activities), Triple S (Somervell Sunday School) for children and Som Youth, our youth group for teenagers at the same time. We are proud to be an open and friendly church, welcoming everyone who wants to worship with us in spirit and in truth.
