LISTEN  PRAY  ACT

Church isn’t just about what happens inside our four walls; worship should take us outside ourselves, into the world and the needs of others. So this year Somervell has started a new programme as part of our Sunday worship: Listen. Pray. Act. (or LPA). Church members will give a short presentation about a national or international issue – leprosy today, the Treaty of Waitangi, charity walks… who knows what we’ll learn about. Who knows what God will call us to.

But together we’ll start by doing three simple things – listening to the presentation and what God has to say, incorporating that into our Prayers for Others, then figuring out how to act. What we do is up to us. If you’ve got an issue you want to highlight and think it would make a great L.P.A one Sunday, email Brett on brettjohnstone@somervell.org.nz.
