Somervell Church is available for weddings and for wedding receptions in our hall if required.
The Somervell minister is available to take wedding services and will help you design a service to suit your needs. If you would like another minister to take your service, then that minister must make contact with the Somervell minister to discuss arrangements.
The Somervell minister can help you with the design of your service by giving you a range of different services to choose between or helping you to write your own. We can also help with music choices and the Somervell organist is available to play. It is also our practice to have a wedding rehearsal the night before.
At Somervell we welcome photographers and video recorders at the service; all we ask is that they treat the ceremony and the church with respect. You can also use your imagination to decorate the church to make your special day even more significant.
Some couples choose to hire our hall and foyer areas for afternoon tea after the service to help entertain people before the reception, or to cater for those people who are unable to be included at another reception.
Our costs vary with the choices that you make and are available upon request. Packages include:
- The church auditorium/foyer (including rehearsal and set-up)
- The church auditorium/foyer/kitchen/hall (including rehearsal and set-up)
- Somervell Minister
- Somervell Organist
